Fish Twisters Dog Treats
Fish Twisters dog treats are a delicious, natural, and healthy product. So you can be sure your dog is getting only the best! Made from Australian shark cartilage, and wrapped with Australian Mackerel, these pet treats contain no additives or preservatives, only natural Australian fish.
The Shark Cartilage is rich in calcium which will help to:
- Strengthen bones
Then the Mackerel is high in omega 3- which will:
- Reduce joint inflammation
- Improve brain function
- Increase coat health
They also act as a great dental chew and will help to remove tartar build up on your dog’s teeth. Overall, a delicious treat filled with health benefits! Very popular treats for all types of dogs.
All of our shark products are derived from either North Queensland Blacktip Sharks or Australian Gummy Sharks. They are both highly common sharks in Australia and are caught using sustainable practices in accordance with the Australian Fisheries Regulations.
No endangered sharks used in our products.
The sharks used in our products are considered “Least Concern” by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.
As with all of our fish products, we use only the ‘left-overs’ from human consumption to ensure nothing is wasted.
Our products have a best before of 12 months from purchase if kept sealed and stored out of direct sunlight and under 30c on average.

This is a natural product so sizes and weights vary based on the size of the animal. The following is an indication on average only.
Fish Twisters average 15cm long but can be between 12 – 18cm. Average weight is around 35g-40g.

I have 4 dogs, from a tiny Pom x Maltese through to two border collie sized Australian Cobberdogs so I’m always on the lookout for treats that will suit all sizes. These are a little big for tiny Muppet, but she’ll still give it a red hot go before leaving half for one of the bigger dogs to clean up! They last longer than the plain shark cartilage, which they also love. As one of my girls recently broke a tooth on a bone all future teeth cleaners have to be pliable enough not to do the same, so these are definitely one for our regular order, especially as one of my dogs is allergic to most proteins other than fish.

This is the first time I have tried Fish Twisters for my Staffie. I wasn’t sure if he would like them BUT they are a great hit with him. They are smelly (hmm, fishy smell) but I think that is part of the attraction! He dances around when I open his food box and he can smell what’s coming. They aren’t chewy, more of a crunch when he eats them. I alternate these up with pizzle sticks for a daily treat. Will buy again as I have found all products from Clear Dog to be described accurately.

These treats are the absolute Grand Prize in my boys eyes. I use them as a “Mum’s off to work” treat, on rotation with the roo tubes. I have a Golden Retriever and a Beagle mix, and there’s usually a variety of sizes of chews in the bag, so the Golden can have the bigger ones and the Beagle can have the slightly smaller ones. They are all a good size though and a firm favourite!

The flip side to this wonderful product is its smell – absolutely awful (the hubby wont let the dogs inside if they have one of these, as the smell makes him retch.

I have tried unenhanced shark cartilage before and have been met with an unenthusiastic response. Fish twisters are completely different. For context, the breed of dog I am referring to here is a Parson Russell Terrier and if he has been distracted from chewing one of these treats in the yard during the day you can bet he is in the back yard at midnight under floodlights finishing the job. They are relatively easily cut in half for smaller dogs and this makes them incredibly cost-effective. They are very ‘crunchy’ and I concern myself that he might scratch his gums (he is a small to medium dog of 8kgs so small jaws) if I give him them daily so I alternate them with other treats.
