Shark Tails Dog Treats

Our Shark Tails dog treats are a delicious, natural, and healthy snack for your pooch. Using only Australian shark tails, they do not contain any additives. They are rich in omega 3 and 6, which benefit your dog’s joints, skin, and coat.

These fish pet treats are an excellent chew for medium to large dogs and will keep them entertained for long periods. Being a chew, they also provide dental benefits and will keep their gums in top condition.

This is one of our longer-lasting dog treats.

Our shark products are either 100% North Queensland Black Tip or Australian Gummy shark. These are both common sharks in Australia. Caught with sustainable practices with quota’s strictly managed by the Australian Fisheries. They are declared as least concern by the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature). They are very common in our Australian waters and not endangered.

Please also note that these fish are primarily caught for human consumption. Often referred to as flake in most supermarkets and shops. we mainly use the non-human consumption leftovers which would otherwise be discarded. Above all – nothings wasted. We do not catch endangered sharks to use just their tails, fins or skin for dog products. We use the leftovers of common sustainably fished Australian shark used for human consumption.

Our products have a best before of 12 months from purchase if kept sealed and stored out of direct sunlight and under 30c on average.

Single ingredient product with no preservatives, additives, colours, added sugar, or anything else!

Sizes & Packaging

Batches can vary in size and thickness but from a random check of a kilo bag we checked they weighed about 60g each on average.

Most range from 20-30cm, though some tails are too long to fit in our bags and are cut which means you may have some smaller thicker pieces in such batches which are the base of the tail.

300g size comes in a convenient resealable stand up pouch.

1kg bulk come in a resealable flat bag.

    I’ve only fed one of these so far but was surprised at how long it took my power-chewer to get through. He didn’t know what to do with it initially so he decided to bury it (lol), but when we made him dig it up it took him a solid 30 minutes to eat. Anything that takes him longer than 5-10 mins is a win for us.

    My three power-chewers love these tails. It takes each of them approx 20 minutes to devour a tail. This length of time for them is “long-lasting”. And their teeth come up strikingly clean afterwards!! Because of the difficulty I have sourcing safe appropriate bones for my dogs I can see these shark tails will become a “go to” resource for me.

    SENSATIONAL LONG LASTING HEALTHY chews/treats!     These are great! Really long lasting and perfect to keep a bored pup quiet at a cafe or at home whilst you’re trying to work from home without interruptions! My dogs find them highly palatable and will persevere for quite some time on these. I usually take them with me if I need to keep them occupied for a while. One of our dogs barks at strange dogs when outdoor but when he is chewing one of these he couldn’t care less about them!

    whilst I do think this is a great treat it was not approved by our puppy. he didn’t show any interest in the tails. also would say it’s more an outside snack as the tails are quite smelly.

    CHEW STYLE: Relaxed. Thoughtfully considered her paw holding technique. Used both rear chompers and front nippers. Took her time.

    HUMAN’S COMMENT: I am VERY impressed at the time she had to take with this chew!

    Shark cartilage, just better!
    My kids are big fans of shark cartilage and it is included in their diet from a very young age so naturally we had to try out the the Shark Tails…..
    As predicted, they were very much enjoyed 🙂
    Happy with the size & amount of Tails in the bag, certainly suitable for large breeds and whilst the Shark skin is leathery when being chewed they still get the crunchy cartilage through the centre. Provides 20-30mins chewing

    My border collie is still undecided on this. He wouldn’t leave its side for 2 days but after that, he got tired of it. He likes (and continues to like) the shark skin, so I can’t figure this out. This has far more meat and bone than the shark skin. What I will say however is that a 300g packet is very generous, easily 7 to 10 tails inside. Each tail is also of a decent size and very long lasting, only ¼ gone after 2 days.
